Special Agent Sam Courtney

Special Agent Samuel "Sam" Courtney is a study in contrasts. In his early to mid-30s, he balances the sharp, polished look of a seasoned FBI operative with the subtle weariness of someone who has lived too many long nights on the job. His tailored suits and black-rimmed glasses suggest precision and control, but the slightly loosened tie and shadow of stubble betray a man who thrives under pressure rather than polish. Sam's humor is his greatest tool, a weapon to disarm tension and foster trust, though beneath his easy charm lies a methodical, unyielding intellect. After years spent unraveling dull cases in the Health Care Fraud division, Sam is finally chasing something worthy of his talent: the ghostlike figure known as "The Contact." For Sam, this case isn’t just about justice—it’s a puzzle begging to be solved, a chance to prove his mettle against one of the most elusive criminal minds in history. And as he works alongside Heather Sims, her rookie confidence and intriguing backstory spark something in him: curiosity, respect, and the faint reminder that even the sharpest agents can find themselves out of their depth.
